More 2011 Race Information
Welcome to the 17th Annual Larry Mattonen Marathon (26.2-Mile) Run or Walk, Blue Springs 50-Mile Run,
Blue Springs 50-Kilometer Run, 13.1-Mile Run, 26.2-Mile Racewalk, Six-Person Relay, and 50-Mile Relay. All courses
are measured and certified, except for the 1/2 marathon. The course is 99% on a scenic, flat, crushed gravel
trail. So if you want the PERFECT forgiving surface to do your first marathon, 1/2-marathon or Ultra run, without the
crowds...THIS IS YOUR RACE! And, if you are an Ultrarunner intent on qualifying for Western States or another Ultra
that requires a fast 50-mile course time on a trail, THIS IS YOUR RACE! (There are also volunteering opportunities for
you as well). Support and Aid Stations: This race always has great volunteers and support
at the 5 aid stations. Food, water, and beverages are supplied for your race completion success.

The Best Deal Around: Entry fees (for early entry) for these Blue Springs races is
very low, which includes a unique shirt and a finisher's award. How can you beat that???

Testimonial:
"I have fond memories regarding this race. This was my
first ultramarathon, one decade ago. It was a good one to "cut my teeth on" for my first 50K. I
continue to come back from time to time. I really enjoy the low-key, genuine fun that this race has to offer.
This race, and Lou's other ultra, 'Dude, Where's the Trail?' are extremely hard to beat for their dollars-to-fun-factor.
Highly recommended!" - Ben Holmes, Trail Nerds
