What is a Trail Nerd?

A trail nerd is a runner who loathes the pavement, does not let a little bad weather stop them, does not whine, and is always ready to help a fellow trail runner. They originate from Kansas City, then like little seeds, propogate in other areas. Wanna be a Nerd? Just join one of our group runs.

What is trailrunning?
Watch this trailrunning video by Pat Perry: Rick Cook is in white, Bad Ben is in black (leading).  We're showing our "best sides."  Turn down the volume, if you don't want to hear an expletive toward the end of video.  This was taken on the Western States Trail, at WS100 training camp in May 2008; we had about 42 miles on our legs at the time.
This is when and where Rick Cook decided that he needed a Trail Nerds' group in Texas!
