The Psychopathic 5K is a separate out-and-back trail race at 8 a.m., held during the Psycho Psummer Trail Runs. Beware: It's the toughest 5K trail run in the Midwest! This race gets its own special shirt and hardware, and is the Summer
(Fire) Edition of the Psychopathic 5K " Fire & Ice" series.
Fees:
$25 (early bird)
$30 (after June 1, 2008)
$50 (after June 20, 2008)
Course Description:Out and back course on rocky, rooty, and hilly bridle trails & single-track
trails. These trails aren't "sissy" groomed or paved trails; they're the real thing. Food and Aid
Station:We will have burgers for all participants, after the race(s). Yum! There will be a staffed aid station
that you will go by twice on the course. The aid station will have "SUCCEED!" brand sports drink and water for participants.
Shirts:Well-designed "technical" t-shirts for all participants that enter prior to June
28. No guarantee of a shirt or proper size for later registrants. All Psychopathic 5K participants will receive their own
shirt design, different from the Psycho Psummer race. Entrants "Hardware":All
5K entrants will receive a one of a kind finisher's mug. Do the Winter version, the "Ice" race, and collect a different mug. Start your collection now!
Charity:
The "Kansas City Trail Nerds" group is dedicated to having affordable and fun trail events,
and it's our mission to add and maintain singletrack trail systems in an environmentally proactive and responsible manner.
The Trail Nerds are part of the Kansas City Track Club, which is a federally recognized 501(c)3, not-for-profit corporation.
Any proceeds leftover after race expenses are funneled back into trail advocacy activities and putting on even more fun and
inexpensive (future) events.
