2013 Event: This 5K is an out-and-back trail race that starts at 9 a.m. Beware: It's the toughest 5K trail run in the Midwest!
Fees:
$15 (early bird). $20 on race day.
Chip Timed, with free photos for you.

Course:
The course is an out-and-back course
on very hilly and tough trails. These trails aren't "sissy" groomed or paved trails; they're the real thing.
Aid StationsThere
will be a staffed water aid station at the turnaround point.
Challenge
$100
to any male entrant that can beat Paul Hefferon's record time (17:34), and $100 to any female entrant to run sub-20-minutes.
Packet Pickup is AT THE RACE:
You can pickup your mug and race number on race day...please show up no later than
8:30 a.m. Please put your race number on the front of your person, if you want to be timed.

2011 Race Well, our race lived up to it's icy logo...11 degrees at the start, with a snowy, squishy trail.
We also offered up a lot of: Family Fun. Hills. Spills. Dogs. Donuts.
Hot Starbucks Coffee. Mugs. Music. Marines! Dick Ross. And shoe-screwing
mayhem. No records were set, except a record for FUN. Thanks Again & happy trails, Bad Ben & MudBabe

Two Records were set for the event this year, despite the
sometimes icy and treacherous conditions, and the 1600' of elevation change for the 5K course.
